Chapter 2256: Altum’s True Strength



Altum's appearance is vastly different from his usual goofy looking fishman self. He looked like a beefed-up version of a Deep One and one might even say that he looked like a miniature Dagon. The most intimidating thing about his form is that he is now three meters tall with a large mouth filled with sharp teeth.

The other side of the chain could be seen completely attached to his right arm as it is even frozen in place. With a powerful pull, the Physalia was also dragged towards Altum as it was unable to counter the force that the latter used. In just a matter of a few seconds, Altum and the Physalia are now face to face.

Altum might dwarf the Physalia when it comes to size, but lethality is a different matter. Altum opened wide as his teeth sank onto the body of the Physalia. With one powerful chomp, the right arm of the Physalia is torn apart. The Physalia uttered a sonic scream of pain which it did not do so earlier when it was attacked on all sides.

It seems that the Physalia's nerves activated too much to the point that it finally showed pain. The Physalia looked at the missing arm and then to Altum with great disbelief. The body that should not even feel pain is now susceptible to it because of the enemy in front of it. The Physalia released a powerful burst of light energy that knocked Altum away, but he is still connected to the enemy.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

The missing arm of the Physalia started to regenerate at a visible speed but slower than ever before. Altum once again tugged at the chain which made him and the Physalia get close to one another once again. This time he went for the left arm but the large tendrils of the Physalia blocked his path. Still, the Physalia seems to have forgotten that Altum is not the only enemy.

Ark with the aid of Kanlaon zoomed in and sliced off one of the large tendrils. Adrian summoned Charon's chain to pull on the other large tendril while Wisteria released a large amount of crystal leaves that destroyed it. The Physalia could no longer defend against Altum which made the latter to easily bite off the other arm.

"OWWAAA!" The Physalia suddenly released a powerful sonic attack that pushed all of the enemies away, but Altum is still connected to it.

"Support Altum!" Adrian stated as he commanded them to buff Altum as much as possible.

Altum's body suddenly burst with powerful energy as a buff that contained the six elements made him more powerful. Ark also chimed in and reverted to his natural form to buff Altum with light and darkness buffs. Wisteria released a burst of energy that boosted Altum's spiritual power that also increased his stats by 20% for a short period of one minute.

[Altum has increased 200% movement speed, reaction speed, and attack speed for ten seconds.]

As if the buffs were not enough, Adrian made sure that even the Physalia will not be able to react to Altum. He was already swimming at a fast pace, but Adrian boosted it even more to the point that even the Physalia could not react to him. Without even being able to defend itself, the Physalia suddenly had its neck completely torn apart.

The Physalia was not yet dead despite having its head almost being severed. The Sigil of Kindness activated to try and recover the health that the Physalia lost. The visible regeneration could be seen but it was incredibly slow as the stamina of the enemy is already depleted. Still, the stamina of the Physalia is enough to restore its body one last time but Lilith was just waiting for the perfect chance.

"Beware the dark abyss: Dark Fall!" Lilith stated as she suddenly manifested from the shadows while clinging to the baby angel Raphael.

The area that is covered in darkness suddenly converged as all of it was absorbed in the palm of Lilith's hand. She then plunged this pure darkness onto the head of the Physalia. A powerful explosion of darkness covered the area in it which made even light unable to shine. This powerful spell painted the area in black, but it soon returned to normal after a few seconds.

"I will collect the drops!" Altum stated as the items that the enemy dropped started to fall deep.

"I shall help you." Adrian stated as he called upon Kanlaon to move faster in the water. The Sigil of Kindness could be seen floating in front of Lilith as it waited for its true owner to claim it. The baby angel Raphael touched the Sigil of Kindness, and it entered its body without any resistance. The body of the baby angel Raphael started to experience changes just like what happened to the Angel Gabriel.

The infant appearance of the Angel Raphael started to shift to a more teenage appearance just like that of the Angel Gabriel. The mark of the Sigil of Kindness also appeared on the palms of the Angel Raphael as well. A burst of powerful light energy is released as the Angel Raphael managed to restore its strength back to the original.

"Does that mean that I also lack mastery over my own talent?! To think that I am just like Gabriel!" The Angel Raphael grumbled.

"Be thankful that you still have more talent to uncover. A lot of beings go into despair just because they can no longer grow." Lilith stated as she scolded the Angel Raphael.

Even if the Angel Raphael has grown in power, he did not even dare to talk back. The fear and respect that he had for Lilith did not vanish just because he has returned to full strength.
